Movie Review: The Simple Life of Noah Dearborn

Noah Dearborn (Poitier) lives a simple life. He uses no electricity, even his car's an antique. He's never been married. He only had a dog once. What means the most to Noah is his work and his land--and an out of town developer wants to buy the land to build a shopping center. He refuses to sell his loved land.

Then the developer gets it in his head that anyone who won't sell their land to him is 'crazy'. That's when he calls in his girlfriend, a psychologist to agree that his is crazy to get Noah committed and have the County seize his land.

His girlfriend quickly realizes that there's really nothing wrong with Noah. I won't go any further with this... but its a really great family movie. Watch this with your kids.
