I improvised and extended the handles of the purse with contrasting fabric in order for it to knot closed. Its not perfect but I like it anyway. This is a gift for my little sister Terri's birthday. I hope she likes it. I don't think I'll point out the problem I had! If anyone out there can tell me what I did wrong I would love to hear from you. I want to make several and think that probably I will extend the handles in the basic pattern and hope that works.
